A Honeymoon In The Italian Lakes

Italy conjures up an image of gorgeous landscapes, delicious food and endless romance...and the real thing will live up to your imagination.

For an idyllic honeymoon destination, consider a trip to Italy’s Lake Como.  Its unspoilt scenery and peaceful surroundings makes it a super option for your honeymoon if you want a chance to relax and be seduced by the countryside.

You will find sumptuous villas and cute little villages situated next to the lake but the main attraction in the area is the town of Bellagio.

It offers the best views of the lake and its surroundings and has water transport links across the area so is great to use as a base.

There are a number of historic churches to explore while a ferry will take you to the other towns of Varenna and Tremezzo, where you can view some wonderful gardens and impressive sculptures.

You can also travel around the lake by car but a ferry seems to suit the unhurried and relaxed vibe of the area.

At night, you can enjoy a wide choice of restaurants and pubs.  As the area is popular with celebrities such as George Clooney and Richard Branson, you never know who you might bump into!

Honeymoon in Madagascar

If you’re looking for a honeymoon destination that is a little out of the ordinary, you might want to consider an island hopping trip in Madagascar.   With spectacular scenery and wildlife to enjoy you might never want to return home!

Masoandro Lodge, Madagascar

The Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is a great place to start.  You can explore the rainforest (with a trained guide) to see the iconic lemur and rare species of reptiles and birds.  If you’re more adventurous, a visit during the night will reveal even more species to see.

The fascinating thing about Madagascar is that its landscape is so diverse.  You can travel through rainforest and desert in the same day and tourist numbers at some national parks can be very low because of the poor roads.  If you’re willing to try the off-road experience, you will see sights that very few other people reach.

A must-try is diving or snorkelling off one of Madagascar’s many islands.  Snorkellers can see turtles and brightly colored fish and coral while divers can explore shipwrecks and encounter many types of shark.

If you want to experience honeymoon images that will stay with you forever and you would like it to be paid for, simply click here for our honeymoon registry.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Wedding in South Carolina

On Sunday, Blake Lively and Ryan Renolds tied the knot in a small, hush hush, ceremony at the Boone Hall Plantation, just outside of Charleston, South Carolina.  So that leaves us wondering...why the Boone Hall Plantation?

“Ryan has always loved it here,” Kelly Gukanovich of Charleston radio station 95.1 FM told E!. “When he got together with Blake, he started to bring her here, too."

With 320 years of history, Boone Hall is one of America’s oldest working, living plantations complete with picture-perfect Colonial Revival buildings, beautiful flower gardens, and a mile-long drive adorned with blooming oak.  In fact, the original owner of the plantation, Major John Boone, said that he wanted to be buried under those oak trees so that he could watch them grow for eternity.
